History
Ilfracombe has been a popular seaside resort for over 150 years and much of the magnificent Victorian and Edwardian architecture remains in tact, hardly touched by the modern world.

If you have not been to Ilfracombe before then come and see for yourself why this lovely harbour town has attracted so many visitors over the years. Ilfracombe is a place that relaxes and refreshes – where the pace of life is slow and the air that you breathe is fresh. Spend a little time with us and unwind from the stress of your everyday life.

Information about Ilfracombe's past and present can be found at: Wikipedia

Location & Climate

Set in the picturesque Wilder Valley, Ilfracombe has been recorded as the second warmest town in England and the wonderful floral displays that stretch the whole length of the promenade reflects this warmth.

The ancient harbour at high tide is spectacular. The many pubs, restaurants and shops that surround the harbour create a friendly atmosphere that is typical of Ilfracombe and its local people. We want you to enjoy your visit and forget the strains of this modern world. There are lots of beaches in and around Ilfracombe, from secluded coves with rock pools to wide stretches of golden sand.
